Dialysis

A process in which toxic waste is removed from the blood system by neutralizing acids that build up in the blood. Dialysis, in essence, replaces the function of the kidneys. During dialysis, a mixture called ‘dialysate’ is used to remove toxic waist from the blood system.

Dialysate

Dialysates combine ultra-pure water, bicarbonate concentrate, and acid concentrate. GranuFlo and NaturaLyte, contain acetic acid plus sodium acetate that are converted by a patients body into bicarbonate. Bicarbonate then passes through the membrane of the artificial kidney and into the patients blood – removing waist.

Is under investigation for failing to inform customers of a potentially deadly heart risk connected to excessive doses of GranuFlo and NaturaLyte dialysis products.

FDA – U.S. Food & Drug Administration

According to the FDA, GranuFlo and NaturaLyte may contribute to a “Bicarbonate Overdose” since they use sodium diacetate which doubles the amount of acetate in dialysate compared to formulations made with acetic acid, causing the “buffer” level to be higher than the bicarbonate level delivered from the bicarbonate concentrate. Until recently, the FDA did not consider the effects of acetate in the acid concentrate when prescribing bicarbonate levels, which can result in serious adverse events.
